Jewelry Parties!
I just recently did my very first Jewelry Party! It was a great time for everyone! The birthday girl turned 12 and had 10 guests. I set up at her house and taught the guests how to make a few different kinds of necklaces, then they got to make as much as they could in an hour! So fun! Hello! My name is Karen Morea. I am an art teacher here on Long Island, who currently works part time. I have spent many summers teaching jewelry making, sculpture and crafts classes to eager students in my school district. Besides being certified in art education for grades K-12, I am personally a huge crafter at home. You name the craft, I can make it! I am currently offering jewelry making classes to kids ages 10 and up, but can always alter my class to meet your needs. I also offer classes in other creative crafts, just ask!

Single Strand Necklace
This necklace is great to introduce the basic elements of beading and jewelry making. Even though the necklace is a classic one strand, you can use any number of beads, patterns, colors and ingenuity to make it exciting! A matching bracelet can also be created if time permits.
